Arijian is an artistic world created by artist Jian Yoo, a repository of time, culture, and experience that accumulates into light. It is a name that embodies a distinct creative language and reflects her artistic identity.
The work unfolds through a multi-layered approach to time, material, and structure, pursuing a subtle balance between emotion and composition. As a contemporary artist, Jian Yoo delicately records and visualizes the flow of light, time, and emotion, presenting her work both in Korea and internationally.
These works are introduced under the name Arijian. Within this world exists another distinct yet parallel axis: a body of work rooted in Korean heritage and narrative, which is developed independently under the name Arijian Studio, separate from the artist’s individual practice.
